Annual Awards Presentation Event Stage Design Recognized for Innovation and Aesthetic Appeal

The stage was designed to reflect the accomplishments of the past year, with a focus on quality and grandeur. The unique properties of the design include an 80-foot proscenium arch and a fully built stage in a tent that can accommodate 6,500 people. The stage was not only a platform for award presentations but also for a music show, thus necessitating a design that could adapt to different performances.

The team at Scientology Media Productions utilized an automated machine shop, an 8-axis Robot arm, and other CNC machines to realize the design. The structure was welded, and MDF/Styrofoam parts were attached. Some set pieces were internally lit with LEDs, adding to the visual appeal of the stage. The design was executed with efficiency in mind, both in terms of cost and time.

The design project, which took place in the UK and was built in the USA, was completed in a month. The team faced several challenges, including space limitations for shipping in an ocean container and ensuring an easy and safe setup on site. Despite these challenges, the team did not compromise on the look of the stage.

The stage design incorporated interconnecting triangles as the main geometric pattern. Each aspect of the stage required lightweight, internally lit parts that could be quickly and easily changed out during the event to suit different presentations. The result was a stage that not only served its functional purpose but also created audience admiration and forwarded the message of the event.
